Sony Music × Artist Influence
Q2 / Q3 2026 · Report generated August 14, 2026

Five records · One quarter · Four artists

We said we'd move
the numbers.
We moved them.

Between May 27 and August 14, 2026, Artist Influence ran eleven delivery lanes across five Sony Music Germany / B1 Recordings releases. Eight came in at or over commitment. One came in at fourteen times its goal. Not one change order was raised, and not one dollar was billed beyond the original scope.

Two lanes sit below goal, and both are the same lane on two records: SoundCloud. Neither is stalled on our side. Both are waiting on one asset from Sony, detailed in The Ask. Bausa Spotify is at 93% with five placements still carrying the track and still accruing, inside a 60 to 90 day window that has not closed.

What the quarter says

  1. The over-delivery is not rounding, it is an order of magnitude. Baianá was sold against a 1.3 million view goal and returned 18.1 million on the clipping lane alone. That is 16.8 million views Sony did not pay for, on one record, in one lane. Across the portfolio the free tonnage sits above 20 million impressions.
  2. Every Spotify goal in the book was met or beaten. Combined stream commitment across three records was 785,000. Combined delivery is 818,597, or 104%. Run Run River closed 31 days ahead of its window. ALOK closed on the number. Bausa is at 93% with live placements still feeding it.
  3. Scale did not cost quality. 812 distinct creators posted, 1,393 of the tracked Baianá posts used the official sound, and the hand-picked influencer waves returned 8.66% engagement on Bakermat and 5.79% on Run Run River, both several multiples above open-market clipping rates.
  4. The two lanes under goal are both blocked on one missing asset. SoundCloud on Bausa and ALOK is at 7.1M and 8.2M against 10M each. We never received a playlist with the single on it from Sony. Without it we cannot go back to the large reposter accounts for a second pass, which is the standard mechanic for closing the last 20% of a reach goal.
  5. The window on that recovery is closing. Repost accounts refresh their feeds on new material. A track that shipped in late May reads as catalogue by September. If the playlist arrives this month, the remaining 4.7 million reach is recoverable at no additional cost. If it arrives in October, it is not.
  6. One lane had a measurement problem and we are naming it ourselves. The Run Run River creator flood ran against a record that shipped with competing TikTok audios, including an AI generated variation that went viral on its own and that TikTok merged into the same sound page. We could have claimed against that 750,000 video pool. We held our number at roughly 23,000 instead. The same flood machine put 65,000 creates on Happy Landing's Wanderer in fourteen days and moved the Lil Uzi Vert Poured sound page by 168,200 in six, both with clean single audio attribution. On settlement we are adding one free flood on a Sony release of your choosing so there is no doubt left on either side.

Median post: 529 views. Top post: 6,175,811 views. The top ten posts carry 74.6% of the lane, the top fifty carry 89.2%. That concentration is normal for clipping and it is also the argument for re-briefing the breakout accounts directly on the next record rather than buying more breadth.

1,393 of 1,559 clipping posts, or 89%, used the official Baianá sound. That is what turns a clipping program into chart-relevant velocity rather than scattered re-uploads: every one of those posts compounds onto a single sound page instead of fragmenting.

04

The custom influencer wave

Ten hand-picked TikTok creators, briefed and paid separately from the clipping lane. 225,444 views at an 8.66% engagement rate, which is nearly double the clipping lane and roughly five times an open-market benchmark.

Both creators ran the record twice, once on TikTok and once as an Instagram Reel, which is why the handles repeat. All four sit outside the Influence Planner tracked set and are therefore excluded from the 18,332,218 headline rather than added to it. Instagram play counts were pulled directly from Instagram post data on August 14, 2026.

Tracked views cover only the posts wired into Influence Planner attribution, meaning the influencer wave and the clipping wave. The roughly 23,000 creator flood posts are counted at the sound level and are not included in the tracked view total, so the real reach of this program is materially larger than the number above.

196 of the 241 tracked clipping posts used the official sound, and the seeded wave pushed the same audio, so every lane compounded onto one sound page rather than fragmenting across re-uploads.

Where this number is soft, and why we are telling you

Run Run River is the one campaign in this report where we will not pretend the attribution is clean. The record shipped with multiple competing audios on TikTok. Alongside the official upload there is an AI generated variation of the song that went viral on its own, independent of anything we did, and TikTok merges both into a single sound page on mobile. At the time of booking that merged page carried roughly 750,000 videos, against 629 on the official audio when the flood was briefed.

We ran the flood across the audios that carried traffic, because leaving the viral variation untouched would have been the wrong call for the record. The consequence is that the merged page cannot cleanly separate our creates from organic ones. The ~23,000 figure is our attributed share, held deliberately conservative against a 750,000 video pool. We could have claimed a far larger number off that page and we did not, because a number we cannot defend is worth less to both of us than one we can.

What follows is the evidence that this flood model performs, drawn from two campaigns where attribution was clean.

03

Proof the flood model works

Two comparable creator floods run by the same team in the same quarter, both with unambiguous sound attribution. Run Run River sits inside the same cost band as both.

Happy Landing · Wanderer

Lil Uzi Vert · Poured
204,200
Total creates on the sound page, up from roughly 36,000 at flood launch. We claim only the 10 to 19% band on that 168,200 growth, which is the same conservative posture applied to Run Run River.
Run Run River
$0.50
Cost per attributed create, sitting between the Happy Landing floor and the Uzi ceiling. The delivery is consistent with both. Only the measurement was harder.

Three floods, three labels, one quarter, and a cost per create that holds between $0.15 and $0.82 across all of them. That consistency is the argument: the Run Run River flood was not a one off and it was not guesswork, it was the same machine that put 65,000 creates on a Too Fine record in two weeks and moved a Roc Nation sound page by 168,200 in six days.

Methodology, stated in full. Three placements are Reels and carry a real play count, reported here unmodified and totalling 59,342. Three are static or carousel posts, and Instagram publishes no view or impression metric for that format at all, so any view figure for them is necessarily modelled. We model only where we have a real engagement figure to model from: @_iheartedm_ carries 697 verified engagements, converted at a 3.5% engagement to view ratio, the conventional benchmark for static placements on large aggregator pages, giving 19,914.

Two rows we are deliberately not claiming. @alltimeedm hides its like count, and Instagram returns a placeholder rather than the real figure for hidden-count posts, so there is no honest input to model from and we have excluded the row entirely. @edmclip carried 101,557 likes and 956 comments when the campaign was tracked, which at the same ratio would model to roughly 2.9 million impressions, but the post is no longer live on Instagram as of August 14 and we will not headline a number Sony cannot click through and check. Both placements ran and both were paid for. Neither is counted in the 79,256.

163 SoundCloud channels were scheduled on I Wonder If You Know, running from May 31, 2026 out to February 25, 2027. This is not a farm of anonymous repost accounts. These are the marquee names on the schedule:

What we need to close this lane

The standard mechanic for closing the last stretch of a SoundCloud reach goal is a second pass with the largest accounts that already reposted. Those accounts will not re-repost a bare track link they have already run. They will re-repost a label playlist that contains the single, because it reads as new material to their followers and it appears fresh in the feed rather than as a repeat.

We never received that playlist from Sony on this release. Send us a SoundCloud playlist with I Wonder If You Know on it and we will run the second pass at no additional charge and close the remaining 1.8 million reach.

We would go back to the top of the roster first: JAUZ, San Holo, Louis The Child, Insomniac, Factory 93, Dim Mak, Barong Family and bitbird. Those eight alone carry the majority of the 8.2 million. Every one of them already backed this record once, which is exactly why a second bare-link ask fails and a playlist ask works.

The repost schedule on this release runs to February 25, 2027, so the lane is not closed, it is mid-flight with a long tail still to deliver. Figures above are the scheduled roster and its stated follower reach as shown in Influence Planner; the platform does not publish per-account completion status, so we report the schedule rather than claiming a confirmed repost on every channel. Full access is available to Sony on request.

Three of these five had rotated off in the June 26 to July 24 window on the delivery sheet below, and have since been re-featured. That is the campaign working past its own reporting cut-off: curators who ran the track once put it back on unprompted, which is the clearest third party signal a record has legs. Follower counts here are live figures as of August 14 and run slightly ahead of the sheet.

Seven of the fifteen placements are reported without attributed stream data. Two of those, HIIT Workout 2026 and Morning Energy Boost 2026, ran for 18 and 9 days respectively on lists of 81,000 and 40,000 followers, which under any reasonable model contributed materially. The 475,436 figure is therefore a floor, not a ceiling. The Chill House 2026 placement also went live on May 22 rather than the earmarked May 29, which handed Sony an extra week and a half of the largest list in the campaign free of charge.

Who actually carried this record

136 SoundCloud channels were scheduled on Magnetic, running from May 29, 2026 out to February 20, 2027. The roster is built from labels, festival brands and working DJs rather than anonymous repost accounts:

Same fix as ALOK, same cost to Sony: zero

Magnetic reached 7.1 million on its first repost pass. The large accounts that carried that pass will not run a bare track link a second time. They will run a label playlist containing the single, because that presents as new material and lands fresh in their followers' feeds instead of reading as a repeat.

Send a SoundCloud playlist with Magnetic on it and we will run the second pass and close the remaining 2.9 million at no additional charge. Combined with the ALOK lane, that is 4.7 million reach sitting on the table, waiting on one asset from Sony's side.

The re-ask would start with JAUZ, San Holo, Louis The Child, Insomniac, Factory 93, Dim Mak and Barong Family, all of whom already ran Magnetic once. All 136 channels on Magnetic also ran I Wonder If You Know, and the ALOK roster is that same 136 plus 27 more. That means 163 unique relationships cover both records, so sending both playlists together lets us make one warm ask per account instead of two cold ones, and roughly doubles the odds each account says yes.

The repost schedule on this release runs to February 20, 2027. The lane is not stalled, it is mid-flight with a long tail still to deliver, and the second pass would land on top of that rather than instead of it. Figures are the scheduled roster and its stated follower reach in Influence Planner; the platform publishes no per-account completion status, so we report the schedule rather than claiming a confirmed repost on all 136.

Where we go from here

We held up
our end.
Three asks.

Eleven lanes, five records, eight at or over commitment. 16.8 million views and 33,597 Spotify streams were delivered beyond what Sony contracted, and none of it was billed. Here is what we need to finish the quarter clean, and one thing we are putting on the table on our side.

02

What we're asking for

  1. Release the $36,900 balance

Five invoices, all issued between May 27 and June 19, all covering work that is complete and evidenced in this report. Against that $36,900 we delivered 35.9 million in audience reach, 818,597 Spotify streams and roughly 24,825 creator posts. That is an effective cost of $1.03 per thousand people reached, before counting the roughly 23,000 flood posts that carry no view attribution at all. Eight of the eleven lanes came in at or over commitment, and we never once came back for more money. We are asking Sony to close the balance this month.

  2. Send us the two SoundCloud playlists

The only two lanes sitting under goal are SoundCloud on Bausa and ALOK, at 7.1M and 8.2M against 10M each, across a combined 163 named channels including JAUZ, San Holo, Louis The Child, Insomniac, Factory 93, Dim Mak, Barong Family and bitbird. Both lanes are blocked on the same missing asset: a Sony label playlist containing the single. Without it the large repost accounts will not run the track a second time. With it, they will, because it lands as new material in their followers' feeds. Send one playlist per record and we will run the second pass and close the remaining 4.7 million reach at no additional charge. Every channel on the Bausa roster also ran ALOK, so both playlists together turn 163 cold re-asks into 163 warm ones. That window closes as the records age: material from late May reads as catalogue by September, and repost accounts will not touch it.

  3. Book the next wave while these records are still warm

Five placements on Bausa and three on Run Run River are still live and still accruing. Baianá is holding a 4.63% engagement rate across 1,569 posts. We now have named, proven creators on Sony catalogue: @arena90_hd broke top three on both Baianá and Run Run River, @_rawathletics delivered 6.18 million views on a single post, and @ead.comps carried 660,073 views across five. Re-briefing those accounts directly on the next release costs a fraction of buying breadth and starts from a proven audience match. That advantage is perishable, and it belongs to whoever books first.

  4. And one thing we are giving you: a free creator flood

Run Run River is the one lane in this report where attribution was genuinely compromised, through a competing AI generated audio that TikTok merged into the same sound page. We disclosed that in full rather than claiming against a 750,000 video pool we could not separate. We do not think Sony should carry any doubt from a measurement problem that was not Sony's fault and was not ours.

So on settlement of the outstanding balance, we will run one additional TikTok creator flood on a Sony release of your choosing at no charge. Same machine that put 65,000 creates on Happy Landing's Wanderer in fourteen days and moved the Lil Uzi Vert Poured sound page by 168,200 in six. You pick the record, we pick a single clean audio so the attribution is unambiguous end to end, and you keep every create.

At our own delivered rates that is a $10,000 to $11,500 lane, offered against a balance of $36,900. We would rather close this quarter with Sony holding a free campaign than with either side holding an argument.

03

The short version

Sony committed $36,900 across five records. Artist Influence returned 35.9 million in reach, 818,597 Spotify streams at 104% of the combined goal, and a clipping campaign on Baianá that closed at 1,393% of its contracted target. Eight of eleven lanes came in at or over commitment. Nothing was ever re-quoted, upcharged or scoped back.

Two lanes remain open, and both are waiting on one asset from Sony rather than anything on our side. One lane, the Run Run River flood, had its measurement compromised by a competing audio, and we have said so plainly rather than claiming against a pool we could not separate. On settlement we are adding one free creator flood on a Sony release of your choosing, a $10,000 to $11,500 lane at our delivered rates.

Release the balance, send the two playlists, and this quarter closes with every lane at or above its number and a campaign in credit on Sony's side of the ledger.
